A lovely, relaxing evening on the 'cut'. - I went with fellow members & friends of Hanbury & Draycott WI from Staffordshire for a 2 hour cruise. We occupied all 40 seats on the boat, so it was... read more a bit cosy. Being a showery evening, we were not able to have the windows open all the time but still managed to see plenty of wildlife and flowers etc along the banks. Many of us took the option of taking a short walk to the end of the canal and back the other side while the boat turned around. It was also fascinating to see the small cabin where the original boat family would have lived. The friendly, volunteer staff looked after us very well, patiently answering all our questions, no matter how daft. There is a good sized car park - for a small charge - with toilets. We all thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would recommend it to any other group who would like a lovely, relaxing evening.

The boat too is a time capsule and it was delightful to learn of its history. Highly recommended. A two hour journey in total, in a World Heritage site, with a stop at the well preserved railway workshops. Super friendly staff, well informed and great commentary. We appreciated the hard work of the volunteers and would recommend this trip to other people/families. Lunch at the Mill and historic games appreciated by our Grandaughter.
